Family Prayer

Lord God, Creator and Sustainer of life, watch over our family gathered in Jesus’ name. Guide and guard us, keep us united in love for one another. Let your grace be our support in whatever emergencies may lie ahead.

Show us Father, how to put the past behind us, give you our best  today, and place our tomorrows in your hands. Bless our laughter and tears, ease our sorrows and fears. Teach us to appreciate every good gift from your paternal heart. Amen.

Wednesday Week 4 Advent Prayer

Reading: Luke 1:39 – 45

 

Prayer: Bless us, dear Father, and make us channels of Your peace. Help us to spread the spirit of brotherhood in a world where there is so much distrust and hatred. Let us bring joy to those who are downhearted. So that Your light may shine from our hearts, and from our homes.

 

Intecessions:

 

Leader: To Jesus Christ our Lord, who came among us in His mercy, let us constantly cry out with joy: COME, LORD JESUS!

 

Leader: You came from the Father to take on our human nature, – now set free what was harmed in us by sin.

All: Come, Lord Jesus!

Leader: One day You will come again in glory to Your chosen people, – come to us today and help us sinners to recognize Your mercy and  tender love.

All: Come, Lord Jesus!

Leader: We glory in praising You , Lord Jesus, – come and bring us Your salvation.

Leader: Through faith You lead us into light, – may we reveal Your justice through our deeds.

Tuesday Week 4 Advent Prayer

Reading: Luke 1:26-38

 

Prayer: Mother Mary, you said, “ Yes,” when God asked you to give Jesus to us. Help us to say, “Yes,” to God when He asks us to give Jesus to those around us. Help us to do little acts of thoughtfulness and generosity to each one we meet so that on Christmas morning each one of us can say, “ I did this for You, Jesus. I tried to give You to others, and now I give myself to You.”

 

Intercessions:

 

Leader: To Christ our Lord and Redeemer, who will appear openly on the last day, let us joyfully pray: COME, LORD JESUS!

 

Leader: Our Redeemer and Lord, by Your birth as a man You freed us from heavy yoke of the law, – complete in us the works of Your loving kindness.

Leader: From us You took whatever served You divinity, – give us whatever we need to serve You.
